As salaamu alaykum,
My question wasnt about stipulations, I am familiar with that. What I was asking is why should a women have to do that when she can ask for a divorce for no reason, and just has to give the mahr back? The stipulation isnt saying that a man cannot do it, it is saying that if he does than the wife can leave.In the same way that a man can just divorce his wife for no reason. But she can leave at any time. So, what I am saying is, what is the point of stipulating this, if a women can just leave anyway if she doesnt want this?
