Yes as muslims we should work to help establish the caliphate but he is not here and will not be here until the Mahdi arrives. The Mahdi will be the caliph for the muslims. Until he comes we need to work to understand Islam and practice it in accordance to the Quran and Sunnah. Instead of wasting time worrying about when will the caliph come we need to get back to the basics of Islam and learn the correct way to pray, the rulings of fasting, the proper way to make wudhu etc of which the average muslim today does not know as this question board shows...
