assalamualaikum,
i would like some advice on marriage. i wish to marry a man in morocco but as im not able to go there in the immediate future we are thinking of getting married before i go there.please could you let me know if its possible to do nikah by letter and if so how is it done.please reply to my email.

Yes you can marry from a letter. The Prophet(saw) married Um Habibah thru a letter. You can also marry via telephone. All that is needed is a wali to represent the woman and 2 male witnesses.

When marrying via letter, the marriage contract is reduced to writing. The Woman has her demands and the man his. The parties signature is their acceptance of the demands.
