Lets see if I can encourage a thread here?

I would try to keep it intact as long as possible. The potential of its firepower (16ift+1 versus stone terrain) can provide real concern to the Russians.

I am wondering why? J2 can mount a 6ift+2 attack. As long as there is minimal chance of a KIA on i7, it is reasonably secure.

The big question you need to know first is how is building f5 being defended? If the Germans have good firepower in f6, i7 and perhaps from somewhere farther east, they (the Germans) will be in good position to bring any guard squads that move into the building under fire.

Sometimes it is possible to reinforce building k5 from i7, but other than that there are rarely any better places to move. One thing about "The Guards Counterattack" though, it is very easy for positions to colapse once one building falls, so it is worthwhile to think about what your German deployment will look like in such an event and try to make it as strong as possible.
