I'm brand new to the SL game system (2.5 weeks) and have not played ftf yet so I've played both sides of alpha 0 solitaire. When the Russians enter the board I assume they get their movement phase, no defensive fire since los is blocked (and too far) and they get an advance phase? This means the squads attached to the leader can move as many as 7 hexes (depending on terrain). The Germans don't even get a look at that stack and they are off the board with 3 squads on their next turn. The other stacks do face the Germans since they are unescorted, but in 4 simulations I've played the Russians seem to always squeak the last 2 needed for victory. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but alpha 0 seems too easy for the Russians to achieve their objective? I suppose the next 2 alpha scenarios will better challenge the Russians?

Victor
