In reply to the subject of proxy votes I would just like to remind everyone that proxy votes were allowed at last years AGM. They were counted in with the total votes for people who were standing for positions on the OCRDA Committee last year.
Surely you cannot allow them last year and then not for following years?
If people cannot attend for reasons beyond their control and write to the committee with a satisfactory reason for not being able to attend they should have the right to vote for whom they wish to represent them as they are paid up Association members of their club!
Also along the voting line I would like to point out that each positions votes should be collected and counted seperately in turn and not grouped together to be counted as they were last year.
A point that also should be brought up is that Vice-Chairman should be a voted position as it used to be some years ago and not to be decided by only the Chairman of the club. All Committee positions should be elected by the members if it to be fair to everyone.
