In reply to: Craig Rhymes 's message, "..::Blood and Leather::.." on 04/ 3/11 11:17:09pm

Resigned, he slipped the keys into his pocket. The hotel would have been his destination, but he was simply too overwhelmed to push the issue. He'd take the man's courtesy with gratitude. He begins to head towards the stockroom, but stops to look at Craig with his final bit of advice. "I don't deserve her forgiveness." He says simply. "But I owe her answers."

With than, he entered the stock room. He could see the turbulance in those hazel eyes, the hurt and the fury. A moment later, he felt the brunt of those emotions as she slapped him, a hard strike that seemed to reverberate in the room. His jaw clenched against the stinging pain, he looked at her, expecting more. He deserved more and he knew she needed to unleash it. Which she did, in a hurried, harsh flow of words that rained upon him like heavy blows. He could feel heat behind his eyes, and blinked, willing away the moisture that threatened.

What killed him the most was that he didn't know how to make her understand the misguided logic he'd had for his actions. His intention had been to spare her, but he knew now that he had not even succeeded in that.

The sight of her tears were what finally undid him. He'd seen the pain and the fury, but the outright misery of those tears shook him. His own eyes reddened as tears formed, though they did not fall. "I'm sorry. God, I'm so sorry...I..." He stopped as she came to him, pressing her face against his chest as she cried. He slipped his arms around her tightly, wishing for the thousandth time that he could undo all of this. He held her that way, his face buried in her soft brown strands. His chest hitched as he lost control of the tears he'd fought against. Apperently emotions could only be supressed for so long before they burst, some way or another. "I never meant for this...please believe that...I'm so sorry...I loved you...I did...and I'm so sorry." His broken voice repeated, muffled against her hair.

____i will holler you home_____
