Angelina hadn’t been sure what to expect when she’d stepped between Shania and Memphis, would she end up punched from the front or the back, or would the whole group turn into a circle of punches and yelled voices. Hazels hadn’t closed, though they’d wanted to as Shania was pulled up just short of landing a punch on one of the people in front of her. It was only then that Angelina realized Stan had stepped in front of Memphis with her. The fact he’d done this wasn’t lost on her nor was the relief that despite all their issue they could still work as a team. Though as Memphis worked to stoke the fires instead of put them out the smaller brunette gave an inward moan. ”Memphis.” the name coming out almost like a plea as she turned towards him, stepping away from Freb and the struggling Shania, last thing she needed was to get kicked by those heeled boots. ”Sway was coming back, Sasha and me believe her, we saw the accident report.” The joys of having a blonde detective as your best friend, you learned things you didn’t normally get the chance to know. ”So that blow was rather low, even for you.” the chide was given, but she didn’t keep her attention on him to see if it’d made an effect. There were too many other faces to keep tabs on.
Toby and Laurie Ann got addressed next, seeing that the tiny blonde model was trembling. ”It’s okay, I don’t think any of us knew how this would go down.” She’d was just glad the laced coffee of before was keeping her chilled, the last thing she’d need is to fly off the handle too. ”I’m sorry you had to see this Laurie…I’d never wanted you to see this side of them.” She’d always done her best to shield the younger woman, failing obviously when the dreaded night had arrived, but she’d tried nonetheless.
Moving towards the bar, letting Stan follow, Angelina moved to quickly grab one of her best bottles of Tequila, another of Scotch, and some dark Whiskey. She motioned for Stan to get the glasses and had the situation not been so dire she’d have sent him away right after that request, knowing that being around this much to drink was not a good thing for an alcoholic, especially one twice recovered….they simply didn’t have a choice.
