The last S1 ep I never saw. I always thought an ep connected to Mulder's time at Oxford would be cool but unfortunately this one was it. I always liked Amanda Pays from Max Headroom & other stuff but she's kinda wasted here. What's up with all her playing around? Mulder never even gets to confront her about her fooling around with the dipolmat guy. Is she just irresponsible or worse? The fire guy's powers confuse me, he can make fire but still needs to spread some kind of flammable liquid on everything before hand?

Scully awkwardly watching Mulder & Amanda kiss was a nice little scene. One would like she was jealous if it were a latter season ep, did everyone feel that at the time of the original broadcast? S1 for sure got the ball rolling but it sure has it's share of clunkers.
