Subject: I had mixed feelings about this one
In reply to: Scully'sMyHero 's message, "The Easter Episode" on 20:27:19 03/31/02 Sun

In one sense, I was disappointed because it was another religion-based episode. The long haired villain with his shirt half torn off and wounds on his body on Easter just irritated me. Then to tie in an obscure, generally unknown to many of us, bit of religious dogma regarding being a sinner but not being able to admit it, just was a little too much for Easter. As a Christian, it just didn't sit all that well with me. There are far more biblical things CC and crew could use--including all the allusions/references in the Old Testament to aliens and space ships that they could have brought in (and haven't.)

Bring on Mulder and reunite the family, let JD and MR get something going and leave room for desert (ie a lot of movies with M and S!)

I thought Scully felt sorry for JD in that he didn't know about or accept the reality of the killer. Pretty gruesome to bury those folks down there where he did--reminded me of the catacombs. I also wondered how deep the water was that she fell into--it had to be pretty deep in order to not get hurt--it had to be a 20' drop or more which means she would have needed at least 12' of water. Then when John came running, he somehow got around the deep water--did he walk on it or what! (Another Biblical reference--sheesh!)

I think they did try with this episode but it won't be on the top of any list for me.
