HI,
Just found this forum...
I think was on that cruise of the Med in '78, it must have been the same one as the ONLY record that was played on the juke box was Baker Street. I was at Kings School Ely Cambridgeshire & around 10 (?) of us went, all boys led by history teacher James Tilly. James we considered cool because all of the other children on board seemed to have to complete diaries every night and we did n't. I remember him showing us where the staff bar was in case we needed to find him! I also remember a fancy dress event where the clever kids dressed up as Ancient Greek charaters, I dressed up as the Fonz ( Happy Days) and was joined by about 8 other Fonzes.
I remebember buying cool sunglasses in Rome, a flick knife in Turkey as well as a brass ornament of a little man with a huge dick (some sort of ancient fertility symbol from Greece?) The food was awful on board and I remember we all bought pizza in Venice which was all the better because of it.
Would be good to hear memories from others, particularly if any of you reading this were at Kings. Regards, Tom
