 Was on the ship when it was christened. Left San Francisco and sailed to the South Pacific. Was assigned until the end of WWII. We were in Toyko Bay at the time the peace treaty was signed. We sailed to Norfolk, VA for decommision. Sorry I don't remember your dad by name but probably would know him from a picture at that time. Anyway it was a great crew and as I get older its fun to remember. By the way, we could see the Missouri from our ship the day the treaty was signed.
