There is a very simple alternative to thinking you must be the person chosen to play bass for the march set, being that you've not made practice in awhile: Learn the damned set!!!! To the point where, Pat doesn't want to cut you because you're blowing tone like God Himself and you've got the tunes down cold. If you ever WANTED to play bagpipes, here's your chance lad....a contest against other bands wher all you're playing is marches. GO FOR IT!!!! Get the bloody tunes off the bloody ground and play your bloody pipes. I'm praying for you, Cutch.
