Thanks Neil for sorting coach trip yesterday, excellent bar satnav couldn't find ground for 1/2 hour; therefore cask Esher Ale ran out before we'd had our fill!

Performance was outstanding yesterday. We dominated from the off, scrum superb, lineout comfortable on our ball & distrupted all their ball.

Our pressure caused, countless Esher knock ons, it was amazing to be behind at HT then going into last 5 behind again.

But with possession, I was confident that we would get over again & thanks to touch judge who seemed to confirm try when ref was waivering.

Fantastic!

I did shake John Inverdale's hand & told him to put some money into pitch - v poor compared to Billesley carpet.

Hadn't thought about the state of the esher pitch till I read this post and yes you are right it wasn't great, especially as the weather has been pretty good in the south east for the last month. I too had a chat to Mr Inverdale at the start of the second half and found him to be a thoroughly decent opposition supporter or chairman in his case. I was amused by his non BBC descriptive rants and expletives, he is a man that clearly cares a great deal about his club
