Julian's eyes flashed up, lightning as they met hers (which had already broken away). But as fast as he had looked up, the glance was thrown back into the book, a disinterested look on his face. Celeste could be clever hiding her intentions when faced with someone who didn't know her to the meager depth Julian did. But once past the barrier it was all the more noticeable, like the earth beneath the golden tendrils laid atop to conceal. He felt the sudden urge to smoke something even though it was against his health morals. He sighed as soon as she had huffed past, eyes rolling in half amusement, half sarcasm. "Giving me the eye and then storming past me isn't the greatest way to not acknowledge my existence, Celeste." A smile followed in suit of the expression in his eyes. "Did I do something wrong I should be aware of?"
