One thing about Weeks 2 and 3 is that CLC Vacation Club members always get 2 for 1 deals at this time of the year. This means that you would get 2 weeks of a Penthouse 2 bed for 1260 points. A 'Platinum' points member pays about 30p. per point in Maintenance [so this would cost £378 for a fortnight] - and you'd probably still have enough points for another holiday in the Summer. I know you couldn't guarantee which particular unit you would get - but it seems you haven't actually seen the one you have just taken an interest in!

I know it is not 'flavour of the month' to recommend points - but I bet you are paying a lot more in maintenance!

Michael why should a weeks owner be paying more maintenance to use an apartment than a points owner.

Surly it costs no more to maintain the apartment no matter who use's it.

It sounds to me that you are gloating over this difference in maintenance, or are you a CLC rep???.

No I'm neither gloating nor a CLC rep - merely quoting the facts - which is presumably what the guy would like to hear!

If I'm told a Rolls Royce costs £3,000 less in a garage the other side of town, I'd probably go and buy it there [or a Nissan Micra for that matter!]

As I understand it, maintenance charges for points owners are averaged over the maintenance payments for all properties under CLC's wing. So with Monterey being high, we can assume that some others like those on Costa del Sol will be cheaper and bring the average charge down.
