Subject: Detector Choice

Contemplating an additional detector to hunt for larger nuggets in CA, NV, and AZ. I hunt mainly with a Gold Bug 2 now, but am interested in a detector that will find the deeper nuggets in both good and bad ground. I have looked into Eric Foster's Goldquest SS, but am concerned about its lack of ground balance ability. I have looked at the Minelabs, but their cost is a factor although I would rather spend the money than end up with a detector that does not get the job done. I am interested in the auto ground balance feature of the SD 2200 and the GPs - I do not know much about the Infinium. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Darryl
