Subject: White's Electronics Announces Small Coil for Goldmasters... and more!

White's Electronics today (6/16/02) announced the introduction of the long-awaited small coil for the Goldmaster series at the 1st Annual GPAA Alaska Gold Show at Crow Creek Mine at Girdwood, Alaska. This new coil is compatible with the Goldmaster II, V/SAT, GM3, GM4/B, and GMT.

This coil has long been desired by Goldmaster users looking for a coil with enhanced sensitivity to small gold and also by those looking for a coil to work in nooks and crannies. The new coil is 6-3/4" long by 3-1/2" wide. It is a DD coil, and is epoxy filled for resistance to false signal caused by rubbing the coil in the soil and knocking it against rocks. However, be sure the lower coil cable is tightly wrapped to prevent the coil picking up cable movement.

The coil is in production and will be available at all White's dealers very soon. Several early production coils were available and sold to a lucky few at the show. The coil will retail for $149.95, but will be available for about 60 days at a great introductory price of $99.95! Contact your local White's dealer now and get your name on a list, as initial demand for this coil will be great. I have 50 coils on order myself (local sales only), and I expect many other dealers will place similar orders.

White's Customer Service Representative Steve Houston is the man to thank for making this coil happen. Your's truly (Steve Herschbach) might as well take a small bow here for extreme whining to get this coil produced. I have long seen a coil like this as critical to Goldmaster sales in my region, where chasing small gold nuggets is a primary task for prospectors. Many thanks to all the people who sent emails in in response to my forum postings supporting this coil. Truly, without that outpouring of support, this coil would never have happened.

And there has been an additional side benefit. A version of this new coil will also be available for the DFX and the new White's MXT, also officially announced at the show. And another version is likely to be produced for all those Spectrum XLT owners out there. This will greatly enhance these models use as gold hunting detectors.

So contact your local White's dealer and get your name on that list now! Dealers - please feel free to use this image as you see fit for your promotional purposes until official information is available.

Sincerely,

Steve Herschbach

P.S. The Gold Show was a great success, with a large turnout and fantastic weather. If you are going to be in Alaska next June, make plans to be at the 2nd Annual GPAA Alaska Gold Show! http://www.akmining.com/goldshow.htm
