Nancy, thanks for those kind words! I enjoyed 4 movies, or was it 5, on Turner Classic Movies, on cable TV. They always run such great ones for this "patriotic weekend", so it's become my fave way to celebrate. I also avoid the mosquitoes & the heat! What did y'all do? Hope you had fun!

I'm a fan of the Paramount channel, here in France, which broadcasts old movies of the Paramount catalog, I must say that I'm addicted

Hi Holly, We relaxed and did a few errands. We also brought home Kentucky Fried chicken...yummy! We watched the Macy fireworks show while we enjoyed wine coolers. We had a lovely day. Thanks for asking.

Isabelle, the older films are wonderful, yes. I'm also hooked! I recall reading that Joe Lando's fave lady film star is Lauren Bacall, & she's a long-time fave of mine. She & Bogart, oh, my!!! Give me the older films any day.
