I sold two items on ebay (haven't sold there in a while) the auctions ended Friday afternoon. I sent invoices but have not had so much as an aknowledgement from either winning bidder that they have won let alone when and how they plan to pay. Is this normal to keep a seller on the line for several days before contacting them?

I am getting nervous I know they have 8 days before I can take any action but after 3 days I expected at least an email saying yeah I won can I pay on such and such day?

Am I being too impatient? I guess I just find it kinda rude to bid on an item and then dissapear when the auction ends.

Unfortunately Ebay has become a buyers market. They have changed their rating system so that if a buyer does not pay there is nothig negative you can do to mark their account. Every time I sell on EBay and get burned I say I won't sell again but where else can you get that kind of traffic? Definitely complain to Ebay, I have. Who knows if enough people stop selling or complain maybe they will change their system again.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. It's only been a few days, and also, you can check their feedback.

I appreciate your comments. The person has zero feedback and account is 3 yrs old so maybe they are just not up to speed on what to do. I'm trying to be patient.

I know everyone is new one time or another, but I recently went through H3LL trying to deal with a zero feedback ebayer. So now on all my auctions I cancel bids of those with zero feedback who do not email me prior to bidding. If they email and I get a good vibe from them I will accept the bid, but if they don't then I put them on my blocked buyers list. I don't want to deal with the headaches. :)

I sell on Ebay every day and if you will look in your sold items and on the right hand side of the page it will tell you how many days since the sale. When it reaches 4 days, you will have an option to file a non paying bidder warning. Just follow the pages as they pop up. Then if you don't get paid within 7 days you will receive your final value fee back and can relist. This happens to me a lot, but I have found the sooner you can send the warning the faster you get your money. I myself believe that when you click on that buy it now button , then confirm your bid, then you should pay immediately while you are at the place to pay. Never could understand why people will buy, then walk away from the computer. If you don't have the money to pay for it right then, just don't buy it. Same goes for auction bids. Overall I have great repeat customers and love it, but always a few bad ones.

I emailed and asked if she changed her mind and still no answer so I offered it to the next lowest bidder and she replied right away. I guess I just got a bad bidder. The other auction came thru for me right after I posted so I got lucky. Now I remember why I don't sell on ebay much anymore.

Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it very much
