In reply to: Jenn 's message, "Help with lace dress Sleeves" on 18:46:13 05/06/10 Thu

put the dress on her and measure from her elbow up to where the shoulder strap for the dress is. decide how large you want the ruffle to be....for example if her arm length for the sleeve is 7 inches, then you could do a 4 inch sleeve with a 3 inch ruffle. then measure her bicep to see how wide you need the sleeve to be. take the lace and cut a rectangle for the sleeve portion, the length plus 2 inches (for seams) and the width of her arm plus an inch (for seams), and cut a long strip of material the length of the ruffle plus an inch (for seams). gather the ruffle and attach it to the rectangle that you are going to use for the sleeve, then turn the sleeve inside out and stitch it closed. flip it back to the right side and attach snaps to the outside of the sleeve at the top and then sew in snaps to the inside of the shoulder strap. hope this helps!

Yes, thank you, I'll try it! Doesn't sound too hard.
