It depends if the fabric is factory dyed or hand/custom dyed and if it was heat set. If it was custom dyed and heat set or factory dyed. There is usually not a problem a gentle hand washing with woolite. I hand dip mine, several times, then air dry upside down...every once in awhile gentle shake of the extra water and fluff (I hang the skirt in the shower). Do you think the Drooping is from wear or are you loosing the curl in the hemline. Washing generally doesn't bring back curl. IT was custom dyed without being heat seat...there is a good chance you will loose color in spots or all over. You may want to test a spot that cannot be seen first.

To keep the skirts nice and poofy, always hang the skirt inside out or store inside out in a rubbermaid tub that fits the skirt, allowing it to be stored in a cube like shape, never flat. Storing in a flat container will make your skirt very misshapen.

I buy Freeze 24 hour hair spray at Wal-Mart. Spray the skirt layers one at a time and dry with hair dryer as you spray it. Stiffens the layers and adds body to them.
