HERE'S WHAT I FOUND TO REALLY WORK FOR ME!!
Using a plastic tub, I ran HOT water into tub, then added the Apple Barrel paints and Textile Medium, about 1 bottle of Textile Medium for every 2 bottles of acrylic paint. I got my water so hot that I had to wear rubber gloves to handle the fabric, but I really worked fabric in the color bath. Then I squeezed as much water out as possible, the put into the spin cycle of my washing machine (no added water) to spin excess water out. I checked fabric for any streaks (very seldom found any when using the hot water), but if any streaking noticed, I reworked the fabric in the bath, before putting fabric into clothes dryer to heat set. Repeat as necessary to get desired depth of color.

Before adding the superstretch to the color bath, I really swished my hands through the hot water to dissolve the paint really well!! Using the rubber gloves really made a difference...I got the water really hot!
