Hello, I am wanting to start making pageant dresses for my 3 year old daughter. Right now I am only sewing simple things like pillowcase dresses, tutus, & pants, but I am really serious about doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions on resources to help me get started. Maybe some patterns, suggestions on what type of material to use, and where to shop for glitz & material?? Help will be greatly appreciated!!! I am very crafty and would love to dedicate my energy to this. I am willing to take a class or buy books, anything to learn how. I live in a very small town in Missouri & haven't come across anyone to help. This is my first time on this website. I just ran across it from googling. I am gonna save it to my favs but please email me.Thanks to anyone interested in helping me pursue this hobby.

[> Subject: You can buy patterns from mypageantkid on ebay or on her website. You'll need to get superstretch and chiffon or organza. Practice doing a rolled hem with fishing line for the skirt and getting the layers to lay right on the skirt. Most of the seamstresses on her have their own way to do the skirts - there's really no exact rule on it. Hope that helps.
