We need ladies ages 16-21 to enter. This is a Fairs and Festivals Pageant. If enough girls enter, the scholarship amount will be $500. The queen will receive a scholarship, crown, sash, queen’s basket filled with goodies, a free ride in a helicopter during Volcano Days (optional), and an all-expense paid way and two parent tickets to the WV Fairs and Festivals Pageant in Charleston, WV. *During the Festival (Last Weekend in September) - Lodging will be provided for the queen at the Lake House in Mountwood Park. *For the Pageant - Entry Fee is $100.00. *Along with the entry fee, the application and a 5x7 headshot will need to be sent in by September 1st. *T-shirts will be provided. Contestants will wear the t-shirt along with jeans or jean shorts, and tennis shoes during their personal interview with the judges, onstage introductions, and for their 30 second created promo presentation about the festival. Contestants will also be judged on evening gown and onstage questions. For the festival promo - we can give you information about the festival and history ahead of time. You may also check us out at mountwoodpark.org and on facebook for more information. *Pageant Date: Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Stiles Administration Building at Mountwood Park. Contestants will be asked to come earlier in order to practice/prepare for the pageant.
