He has a little GI Joe crawl too. He weights 20 lbs and is 28 inches long. He has 8 teeth and babbles all the time. His favorite word is dada. He still needs your continued prayers. Last Monday he went to visit the doctors at the spina bifida clinic and his mother was told that he has too much pressure in his bladder. Third, thanks to all of you that called, sent emails, cards and made phone calls and has sent items to help my brother during the fire that almost took his life and destroyed all his belongings. Fourth, thanks to all that inquired during the fighting of the flu through this household and the birth of the new baby and all we have endured. We thank you and God will bless you. TO THOSE THAT ASKED AND STILL WISH TO ADOPT AN ANGEL, CALL ME OR EMAIL ME AND WE WILL SET UP A MEETING TIME AND PLACE. THE DONATIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED AND NEEDED THIS TIME OF YEAR. WE ARE RECOVERING AND TRUSTING GOD. THEN, THE NEW BABY ARRIVED THE 20th and WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING TO KEEP MOMMY AND BABY WELL. HE HAS SOME SEVERE REFLUX ISSUES AND ITS BEEN A BATTLE, BUT WE ARE SURVIVING. MY BROTHERS SECOND FLOOR APARTMENT BURNED AFTER ANOTHER APARTMENT NEAR THE HEAD OF THE STAIRS CAUGHT FIRE AROUND 6AM ONE MORNING A FEW WEEKS BACK. THERE ARE AND WERE NO FIRE ESCAPES. HE HAD TO CRAWL DOWN THE HALL TOWARDS THE MAIN FIRE AND DOWN THE STAIRS TO EXIT THE BUILDING. HE WAS ADMITTED TO ICU, SUFFERING EXTREME CARBON POISONING AND HAD A HEART ATTACK AND WAS SENT TO UHC AND ADMITTED TO CCU WHERE HE UNDERWENT SURGERY. HE IS ON HEART AND LUNG MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENTS, HE LOST MOST OF HIS BELONGINGS,AND A PERSIAN CAT I HAD GIVEN HIM EIGHT YEARS AGO. THE FIREMEN SAID HE WAS LUCKY TO ESCAPE WITH HIS LIFE AND THAT WAS OBVIOUS, AS HE WAS HOSPITLAIZED OVER A WEEK, ALMOST TWO. HE IS STILL NOT OUT OF THE WOODS. HE APPRECIATES ALL THE DONATIONS AND OFFERS OF FURNITURE, MONEY AND OTHER NECESSITIES, AS DO WE ALL AND ALL THE PRAYERS WE ARE MORE THAN GRATEFUL FOR. BETWEEN THE STRESS, THE RECOVERY FROM OUR OWN ILLNESSES AND SUCH THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN CONTINUE WITH THE PAGEANT. IT MAKES ME SAD, AS I HAVE TO DISAPPOINT THIRTY SOME CHILDREN AND THOSE ARE NUMBERS TO BE BLESSED WITH IN THIS ECONOMY. THERE WILL BE OTHER GREAT PAGEANTS THIS SEASON AND I PRAY NEXT YEAR WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN (AND BE HEALTHY TOO) THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR WILLINGNESS TO BE IN OUR PAGEANT, I AM SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN ANNOUNCING THIS AS I WAS HOPING TO MOVE ONWARD. When: Friday, November 20th, 7-9pm Where: Workers United Local 863 (Union Hall, West Main Street White Sulphur Springs, WV) Why: We need PJ’s and Storybooks for needy children through the Pajama Program How: Bring a pair of new, unused PJ’s and a Storybook as admission into the party (If you choose you may bring a monetary donation) Join us Friday November 20th from 7-9pm for fun, food, entertainment and prizes for a great cause! We are collecting new unused pajamas (newborn to adult) and new storybooks for children in our area. Dress up in your favorite PJ’s, cute slippers and bring a friend. The 5th annual pageant will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 on the campus of West Virginia State University, just outside of Charleston. This pageant is a Miss America local preliminary pageant; the winner’s will compete for Miss West Virginia & Miss West Virginia’s Outstanding Teen in June. Within the last 4 years, our organization has produced 2 Miss West Virginia’s, and allowed our winners to receive thousands of dollars in scholarships. Britanni, 2009 Miss West Virginia United States, will be participating in the Dancing with the Tri-State Stars competition to be held November 7th at the Huntington Civic Center. This event is being held as a major fundraiser for the Ebenezer Medical Outreach Center. This Center is a full-service medical clinic that provides medical services to the uninsured and underinsured of the tri-state regions of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. You can visit the website at www.emohealth.org for more information. There is an article in today's Herald Dispatch about the event. Tickets($20-adults, $10-college students with ID & under) are on sale at the Civic Center box office and through Ticketmaster and all proceeds will benefit the Ebenizer Center. We are inviting and humbly asking all queens to help this good cause by coming to the competition wearing crowns and sashes. Britanni has been paired up with a wonderful dance partner, Jack Austin, and they will be dancing the Tango. Jack taught West Virginia History for many years and is well-known for his love of and professional quality of dancing. It has been explained to me that couples'(16 in all) advancement in each round of dancing will depend on the judges' votes AND audience participation so we'd love to have many pageant friends there to loudly cheer them on! Britanni is known for having two left feet but she and Jack practice 2-3 hours every day and even though her muscles are very sore-she keeps going! Please mark this fundraising event on your calendars. Brit and Jack have to compete against a great lineup of dancers including former Marshall University headcoach Bobby Pruitt, Superintendent of Cabell County Schools Bill Smith, West Virginia delegate Kelly Sobonya and many others, so they need lots of sparkling crowns and loud voices to keep them in the competition and more importantly, to help sponsor a great cause! The Miss West Virginia Organization and Pageant, an official preliminary to Miss America Scholarship Program, showcases some of the most talented, educated, and socially aware women of our state. The goal of this organization is to promote the education of young women between the ages 17-24 who live in West Virginia, by providing educational scholarships at every local pageant and the annual state pageant. Any young women between the ages of 17 and 24 may compete for a preliminary title to the Miss West Virginia Scholarship Pageant to be held in June 2010. Areas of competition are: Interview, Talent, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown. You must have a platform to compete. Miss West Virginia ’s Outstanding Teen Organization and pageant is an official state pageant to Miss America ’s Outstanding Teen. It was purchased new this year at Oliverios for $1100 and I'm selling for $600. It was worn one time for an Ohio state pageant and everybody loved it! It is mermaid style with layers of lace accented with beads/sequins, and has a beautiful satin bow under the bust. It is a size 6 with slight alteration in the bust area to fit a size 34C. It has a small train and has thin straps that fasten behind the neck, or straps can be removed for a strapless look. I also have a white La Femme cocktail dress in size 4 that was purchased new at Oliverios for $330 and wore for approximately 15 minutes. I am asking $175 for it. (October 31st) As directors, Shay Miller and I believe that our titleholders not only be bright and articulate, but have a heart for their community. Therefore where information for this walk was shared with us just a few days after the crowns were placed on their heads, we decided that this is something that we wished to be a part of. Having just created a team 2 days ago (Balloon Bunch) , I was excited to see that we are # 7 on their sponsor list, ahead of many huge corporations and company’s. Come dressed to compete One outfit only and it must be Christmas or Winter themed, may bring your own music but we cannot guarantee to use it if the disc will not play. GLITZ, NATURAL AND NOVICE THIS YEAR(need at least three glitz and three natural per age group or we will combine age group awards) Natural will be no flippers, no fake hair, natural makeup only, easy on the rhinestones and such. Glitz will permit flippers, falls, wiglets, weaves, stage makeup, tons of rhinestones.
