Raising her hand in objection to Shawns actions Amber lowers it as he rises to Kalia, using the respite to 'calm' herself she smiles weakly as he returns.
"You hould not desert them for me you know..."
motioning to Kalia, Kat and Dana, Amber speaks, her voice soft, barely audiable over the music.
Unsure where her usual incompashion for 'competitors' for a guy had gone she frowns slightly, disliking the compashion that she now found herself with, at what she considered a most irritating time. raising her drink to her lips, as a way of masking her frown slghtly, Amber take a sip slowly before returning the glass to the bar.
"Maybe I should go and find Azure"
she murmers half-rising her gaze sweeping the darkened room before with a sigh she returns to her seat.
"Sorry, I guess I'm not the best company when I start on about driing you away."
smiling briefly Amber looks back at Shawn catching his eyes with a smile and a sigh of resignation.
"Fine. Since you ask I'm, by English and American taboo's, an orphan. My father died before I was born and my mother during my birth. I grew up from that point with my Father's brothers family, treating my Aunt and Uncle as my parents, and Azure, who was born 4 days before me as my sister. We grew up in England until at the age of 15 Azure and I came out here and lived in North Carolina for a bit with Azure's mother's brother, attending a boarding school near New York. Then we came here when we left there."
shrugging her shoulders weakly with a smile Amber instinctively adds a look suggesting she doesn't wantpity before settling herself more comfortably against the bar, aparently unintentionally ending up slightly closer to Shawn.
