Ms RockGroupiecom you mentioned a few things and it made me want to look back at a few books about Jimmy. Members on this board have placed Jemena at 23 currently. You also said you were told Jemena is 28 currently. She definitely looks about 16 or no more than 19 in the photograph of Jimmy and her from 2001. There is a book called Jimmy Page Past Presence by Juliann White. In Juliann’s book she said Jimmy got entangled in a marriage with Jemena stating that she and Jimmy married and she immediately got pregnant and gave birth to their daughter Zofia Jade in 1995. In the back of the book the author quoted Scarlet Page as a source of that information. That is the first bit of data. The author then states later on that Jemena (she spells her name differently throughout the book and states that Jemena/Jimena used to spell her name Ximena) was 23, educated and a virgin when she met Jimmy. She states Jemena was born on November 15, 1972. At this later point in the book the author stated she met Jimmy in 1996. There are huge discrepancies in this book and about this entire subject matter that seems a bit fishy to me. The author seems to have received conflicting information from different sources. It all seems quite calculated on the part of her sources too. Did she meet Jimmy in 1996, 1995 or 1994? Did Jemena have her first child in 1995 or did she first meet Jimmy in 1996? How can an author get facts so mixed up? It leaves one to wonder which date it is. More importantly if Jemena was born in 1972 that puts her at 32 years old today which means she was supposedly 29 in the 2001 photograph. There is no possible way the young lady in the 2001 photograph is 29!
The inconsistencies of the information we are getting from this board and the book I read have lead me to believe there is a cover up and a calculated effort by Mr. Page and his PR team to provide misleading information about Jemena. I agree with Ms RockGroupiecom, this girl was very likely well underage when Jimmy met her. The information fails to add up. There has never been so much inconsistent information about an individual. Jimmy Page divorced Patricia Ecker in 1995, the year Jemena supposedly gave birth to Zofia. It makes one wonder if theirs was a shot gun wedding where Jimmy had to marry a young, pregnant barely-teenaged girl to save face and save his ass.
I looked up the consent laws of Brazil. Consent age is 14 with parents approval. An odd twist to this is that Brazil seems so concerned with teenaged pregnancy and single mothers that they are willing to warp rules to make sure young girls have fathers for their children even though the girls are children themselves. I have summarized it below.
If one engages in sexual act with a minor above 14, and the minor’s parents don’t like it and initiate a legal action against this person, the minor and the person have the power to stop (and dismiss) the legal action by marrying each other, with or without the consent of the parents.
On the other side, law protects compromise. The parents – if they want - can force someone to marry the minor (since the minor wants it, too), or else face prison. It’s a way of preventing "sex adventures with minors".
CONCLUSION
To sum up everything :
- Age of consent in Brazil is NORMALLY 14
(WITH parents’ approval – or at least their tolerance);
- However if there’s PREGNANCY with SUBSEQUENT MARRIAGE (or vice-versa), then :
A) Age of consent becomes 14 in any case (WITH or WITHOUT parents’ approval, because the partner can't be prosecuted anymore once the marriage is now valid);
OR
B) If below 14, age of consent becomes age of puberty/fertility (WITH parents’ approval).
Brazil actually allows marriage to 12 year old girls so long as they have have gotten pregnant! So long as they have reached puberty! All in the name of saving face and saving a young girls repuation. Personally, I do not agree with it but Brazilians seem to have a different moral code. Brazil seems to buy into the old saying "Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed."
All Jimmy had to do was get a Brazilian pubescent girl pregnant then marry the 14 year old who was pregnant with or without parental consent. Hell, maybe he was forced by her parents to marry her who knows. How convenient for Mr Page. Don't forget to conjure up some false birth certificates and an elaborate story so you can smuggle her to the United States and the UK, Mr Page. The more research I do on this matter the more I side with our web mistress. Something fishy went on and it wasn't at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle.
To that end, I am still interested in pictures of Charlotte Martin or Patricia.
