I usually talk to this one very well-known band, mostly from the 80s. There are TONS of crazy fans that were fans in the 80s, so it's very competitive to meet them. I'm a younger fan, which helps me meet them a lot easier. I tend to see the lead singer out on the streets before venues and we've chatted back and forth. I'm always friendly and let him go about his business. I really never stopped him to talk to him, just said hi in passing and smiled. When they came back a few months later, I won a Meet and greet, so I asked the lead singer where they were headed after the show. He mentioned they're just taking it easy at the hotel and lounging around by the bar, so I found out from another fan where they were staying since she saw them. One of the girls I was with that night was using me to get info, since she knew the lead singer would really only reveal that kind of info to someone young and good looking. We ended up hanging out with him at the bar and outside, just me and 2 others. He was all over me at the bar that night--even though his super model wife was upstairs!! Couldn't believe it. I wouldn't ever go through with sleeping with any other guy though, since I'm happily married (then I was engaged, but still the same thing). I really haven't gotten the chance to speak to the band member I like the most. Go figure, I always end up talking to the most popular one! The other one I like smiles and winks a lot to me when I'm right in front in stage though. I hope I get a chance to talk to him soon.

It also helps to have money to get into after-parties. I got into a swanky after-party with this band by booking a VIP suite at the hotel, which gave me a ticket into this lounge after the show. Very few people got into this after party since there was a stalker the guys had a restraining order on.
