In reply to: Cliveden Hotel Management 's message, "Mr. Policeman..." on 13:10:26 08/13/03 Wed

In response to this message hopefully the following may answer them;

An enclosed premise is any yard or section of land privately owned, fenced off for the pupose of keeping intruders or any unauthorised persons out of this section of land.Persons must be warned that this area is fenced off for such purpose and entry is not allowed unless specifically authorised. ie. KEEP OUT.

Being found on enclosed premise's for an unlawfull purpose is deemed by statute to be an offence and a constable may arrest without warrant.

If that doesn't cover it I will interpret your suggestions here;

The curious explorer....Not really much of a problem, but the above may apply.

The memorabilia collector....Theft! Do you own it?, No!

The fly tipper....Criminal damage! Someone will have to pay to clean the mess up, without getting too bogged down this is covered by the Criminal damage act of 1977.

The window breaker....Criminal damage as above, basiclly if you do anything to property not belonging to yourself that the rightfull owner will have to pay or spend time to put right you commit a criminal offence.

The graffiti artist....As above.

The pyromaniac....PRISON, for arson, a serious arrestable offence normally for the endangerment of life.

Hopefully I've answered your questions, but if not please feel free to e-mail me. As I always tell people I'm not trying to threaten or bully anyone, merely trying to uphold the law on behalf of all the decent people.

Graham.
