primly offered on a sheet of white, the box. i knew what it contained and to my detriment my courage failed me at first. i circled and cycled and knew in this room there was only one door. i took it. i lifted the lid while you smiled knowingly and the phantasms rose at once and all together flew at me, sinking their dread teeth straight into my viscera. a trapdoor opened in the floor and down went i, pulled by the weight of a thousand fears. god help me god help me god help me i knew what i was doing.
