“Girl, how I look? I got lipstick on my teeth?” I asked Roshay looking in the mirror that hung on the wall. “Unh unh, how do I look?”
“You look alright. Hand me my purse. I need to reapply”
We were hanging out backstage in some back room that the security guards had directed us too. I was so nervous as hell. My first time meeting B2K and I was with my best friend, so it wasn’t so pressured, but I was still nervous. What would they think of me?
“Hey girls, what’s up?”
“Oh my goodness! Ricky, what’s up?!” I yelled out walking over to him putting out my hand for a handshake. I dropped my purse on the couch. He just laughed and smiled.
“Give me a hug girl. What’s up?”
“Nothing. I am so nervous right now. You see I’m shakin’?” I put my hand out for him to see. He grabbed my hand and rubbed it. I almost fainted. He was just so sweet.
“Shay! Isn’t he adorable? Ricky, you are so adorable,” I complimented him as Roshay walked over us. He was just blushing. “The guys are on their way. They’re just freshening up. I’m glad we didn’t get a lot of girls to come back here this time. I been selling some stuff outside”
“Oh. That’s cool. I know you’re tired”
“Just a little, but the crowd was-”
“Oh my God!” Roshay yelled out running over to Omari and hugging him tightly. I wanted to scream, but I couldn’t get a sound out. I just was holding Ricky’s hand squeezing it until I was sure no blood was running through it. He was just laughing. I just started crying as Jarell came over to me.
“Ah, girl, don’t cry,” Jarell tried to soften me pulling me from Ricky and giving me a soft hug. He smelled so good. Fizzle had the most cutest smile. I couldn’t even catch my breath to tell them how much I loved him until after Omari hugged me and Raz came over and hugged me the tightest after Ricky told him he was my favorite. “Damn, you smell goooood,” I complimented him pulling from the hug and he wiped my tears laughing. “You do too. Dang, what’s up?” He asked looking me over. I was immediately nervous as Omari looked over at me smiling. “Nothing. I am so glad to meet you guys. Yall do not know how much me and my friend love yall. This is a dream come true. I am so serious,” I confided as Mario came over and hugged me again. “Yall, this is my girl right here” He said smiling at everybody. I wanted to scream, but I didn’t want to him childish. We all sat down and I sat next to Mario and Druex and Roshay sat next to Omari and Jarell. We were just talking. Then, the dream switched (you know how those go) and I was outside walking with Mario.
“Gosh, this was the day of my life. I really think this is the best day of my life. I’ll never forget this,” I told him looking up at the stars in the sky.
“Yeah, we meet like so many different girls everyday and I’m just always glad to spend time with each and every one of you, but you’re like real cool and sassy and I like that” He told me grabbing my hand. He looked me straight into my eyes and no dude had really ever done that before. I turned away. “You aiight?” He asked stopping. “Yeah, I’m-” He pulled me close and kissed me straight on the lips. Then, he started to say something and I woke up. Damn!
