Subject: Rush and his little narcotic habit

The revelations that Rush may have had his housekeeper buy narcotic painkillers for his own use is the revenge of the gods against his hubris. Coming as it does coincident with his racist comments re: Donovan McNabb, this double-whammy is just what the doctor ordered to cure conservative America's severe case of Rushistis, which is characterized by a massive swelling of GOP ego.

In Rush's case, it appears that there were thousands of pills over a four year period, but the intense spiritual pain of telling great lies everyday must surely require boatloads of mind-numbing drugs. Here we should remember that Hermann Goering was also an opiate addict during the zenith of his power.

Of course, Emperor Bush II and little brother Jeb "Puddinhead" Bush will be there to pardon Rush. Jebby's drug-addled daughter was arrested for passing a phony script for Xanax and so the Republican elite understand that the rich and famous need a lot of little pills sometimes to quench the pain. Even Emperor Bush II, himself a recovered alcoholic, must surely want to guzzle a fifth of Jack Daniels after a pressure-filled day of ruining the United States economy, catering to the super-wealthy, and handling the Iraq fiasco.

I hope Rush's meltdown signals a larger meltdown of the larger Bush-Cheney criminal enterprise that succeeded only because five SCOTUS judges perverted justice and Jebby and Katherine Harris cheated so wildly in Florida. That is when this entire mess began. We cannot go back in time, but we can certainly work for a better tomorrow and pray that the profligate, power-mad GOP continues its meltdown. God be praised.
