Feather and Flurry were neck in neck as they reached the cross country course. Alli grinned, "You game for cross country?" Jess gave a happy grin. "You know it." she replied. "I'll go first." Alli said happily, Jess was probably her best friend and there was nothing she loved more than riding with her friend. Jess nodded and Alli asked Feather to canter. The lovely arabian cantered swiftly foward towards the first jump. It was a new age ditch. Alli squeezed and Feather soared over it. They took the rest of the course the same way. Then they headed for the final jump, a large drop fence. Alli kicked and they cleared the fence, and braced for the landing perfectly. The happy horse and rider smiled as they cantered up to Jess and Flurry. Jess laughed, "You guys certainly had fun!" Alli nodded, too out of breath to speak. Jess said, "I'm ready."
