i didn't think it would happen, but so far my family has (technically) gone without t.v. during the football season! i have been quite surprised to see that my husband is not having d.t.'s or any serious withdrawal signs. he claims he's getting football info from the radio and newspapers and seems none the worse for wear. they are induldging in videos and video games quite a bit, still. some folks on this site have expressed the viewpoint that the games and movies are a separate issue. i see the same inherent dangers, especially from those with the high violence issues (my pet peeve).

what do you think? are videos and video games as much an issue as those issues for which you have given up t.v.? do they count as "t.v." to you?
