Hey David. The wife and kids are great, thanks for asking. I hope you're all doing fine as well.

I still take a peek around here every once in a great while. I have fond memories from this board and the Boerboel world. Not much surprised by the actions of dog organizations and all of the hullaballoo surrounding the dog world. Kind of boring and predictable after awhile. Until my last waking day I'll always have a dog at my side and I'm still a big dog enthusiast but I could never get around to dealing with the politics on something that I refused to do for anything other than pleasure.

Should Boerboels be led into the PP or Sport world? Having been down that road, I would say no because there's no real need for a dog of that size and type to do any protection work on a professional level. So you end up with hobbyists playing with 150 lbs. of fire. A few would be fine, many would not and get burned but neither will take the breed anywhere significant, because ultimately there is no need for that type of dog in that capacity. JMO
