Yeah, that explains that. Thanks Lee, thanks Andrew, it sure sounds like nothing to be approached lightly, and it also sounds like nothing that should be tried by someone with limited dog-knowledge and limited dog resources. And Andrew...that tackle and hold thing probably would die if it wasn't such a hoot! Also Andrew, your point about the Boerboel sharing some historical roots comparable to the Ban-dog did not go un-noticed...which begs another question from this uninformed petitioner;

At what point does mongrelazation occur? How much heterosis can we stand? In you guys opinion, IF a breeder has good, healthy boerboels of good working temperament that can be reproduced reliably...would there be any reason to breed outside?
