Well, just thought I'd add my two cents here, as well...

While I greatly agree with the sentiment that the show isn't really worth it in an investigative or evidential manner, I don't believe it is necessarily faked or a fraud. Although, it would be nice, as someone else mentioned, to have some sort of short disclaimer stating that nothing is altered or faked (I think, if I recall correctly, with the Dracula's Castle episode, that there was such a disclaimer...did anyone catch it?). Anyway, most of the time there is just a lot of people screaming at things you are just begging to see or whatever.

Personally, barring the fear factor involved, any kind of odd happenings -- for example, the "hot" candlesticks in Dracula's Castle -- would warrant more investigation. Why didn't they go and see if there was more to it? Maybe *wires* or something connected to them? :-)

I forget which episode it was, but it was the best one I had seen, for it actually showed some odd things... A family at some house, and one of the rooms where a child apparently had resided (and thermal imaging showed big cold spots on the bed), there had been this scene where a woman had been looking around, and out of her line of vision but in ours, a picture hanging on the wall skewed itself ever so slightly. Also there was a shot of a chair moving on its own, and such like. I'm not sure if anyone checked to see if there were strings involved, if anyone were so investigative. Anyone recall the episode I'm referring to?

Anyway, I do understand it's more of a ratings game than a full-fledged documentary type deal. After all, it's on Fox Family and not Discovery, right? I hope a more indepth show comes along some time...

Chris
