It has never been seen that nubulus gasses, even ones with high concentrations of radiation, have caused a great deal of trouble to Imperial sensors.

Admiral Daala hid her three ISDs in a nubula which contained 7 blue giants, and she was pretty close to those suns at that. And she detected the Sun Crusher shortly after it dropped out of hyperspace. And she didn't have probes or sensor drones to aid in that.
