We have decided to present 2 new options for a side bet. This is voluntary.
>
>Short track challenge: $5.00 per person; tracks included: Bristol, Dover, Pheonix, Richmond, & Martinsville; last race 11/10/02
> winner take all
>Superspeedway challenge: $5.00 per person; tracks included: Talladega, Pocono, Indianapolis, & Michigan; last race 10/6/02
> winner take all
> Rules: Every race 2 drivers are chosen, one driver from the top 20 in points and one from the bottom half of the points. The points system will work exactly like the regular Nascar Fantasy system. Drivers must be called in or emailed before the drop of the green flag. In the case of a tie at the end of the challenge the tiebreaker will consist of each participant choosing one driver before qualifying of the next race, the person closest to 15th in the qualifying order wins, same drivers cannot be picked for the tiebreaker, the first person to call in their driver keeps the driver. In the event of another tie (ex.17th and 13th) the driver that did not go over wins. If you are interested in participating, email or call me or Casey before 7/19/02.

I am not trying to be a smart ass here, believe it or not this is a real question or observation. Number 21 in points is not in the top 20 or the bottom half because there are more than 40 racers with points. Can he be chosen? It seems to me the obvious reading of the rule would be one driver in the top 20 and one driver not in the top twenty. It's a technicality I know, just trying to prevent a possible argument down the road.

good call...i'm sure it means someone in the top 20...and someone 21 and below. but since you brought it up you have to run the BAM car in every challenge.
