Hi TapuMalo,

Your argument indirectly supports these young girls’ mere prostitute practice. That is selling their body when they need cash as it is the easiest means.

You are saying that many of these young girls are from poor families and need cash. In other words, it implies that because these girls can’t afford daily needs, screwing around for cash is appropriate. Your other idea implied here is that school girls should be screwed by non infected rich guys for cash and not by people who have got this dreadful disease. What a hypocrite idea, bro!

Now your argument is around big gap being created by rich and poor. We aren’t poor. In terms of cash, yes, you are right. But we have the resources to look after ourselves and pay for school fees. Your childish idea just supports these bastards from being lazy. Money is in the soil. Tell your girls to get their hands dirty. After school or during break, tell them to go home and make peanut garden, pick coffee, sell garden food and many more. Don’t support these girls to be like Queen Elizabeth running around with clean hands and acts as if they work in an office.

There is no such thing as easy money. This world is evil and you have to work hard to survive. If you are encouraging your girls to take the easiest route, sorry buddy, easy path has got hook in it. Your girls aren’t going to escape. Uncle with K50 is not putting these young girls on gunpoint and screwing them. Girls themselves are making their own choice. They have to die because they deserve it.

Bro, that is a good response to Tapu Malo.

Further, there are also poor girls from poor families who have heeded their parents advice, pastors advice, messages from AIDS Awareness campaigns and have refrained from having sexual intercourse. Although their needs are great they most times have no money to meet then and yet he vast majority of them continue to survive and live on.

Tapu Malo, you cannot blindly tell us that these idiots who were infected went after money because they were conned by these AIDS infected bigshots and they were poor. I think it is plain common sense. These girls CHOOSE to become PAMUKS and so THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH!!!

Let them die!

you guys are "unbelievable" to put all the blame onto the girls when truly the men seeking out sex whether for payment or not are the big sinners.

The girls will die most likely, along with the men that infected them. AIDS does not discriminate and it affects not only the individual and their families, but the community and the whole country.

Yes, the girls must be blamed for their own careless actions. When a tragedy like this happens, I think people’s gut reaction is anger and a desire to find someone to blame but I believe the blame is still on our young girls. We can partly blame the HIV virus infested men who are deliberately going around making our young vulnerable girls sick but these young school girls are not still in their diapers and don’t know what they are doing. They are old enough to use their God given faculty of knowledge to make sound decisions. They weren’t born yesterday! These girls should have decided to err on the side of caution.

Furthermore, I don’t want to be cynical here but these girls are not genuine students . If they we, then they would have set their priorities right – Education and not shagging around regardless of what the situation might have been. We have to accept the fact that these girls were just too ignorant despite the countless awareness that had been going on about HIV AIDS. These girls have deliberately committed suicide because they are tired of living so be it!

It seems that the more and more awareness of this dreadful disease is made, the more and more ignorant people are becoming. It makes one wonder what could be the next most appropriate method to use to educate our people not to get sick.

God help us to stay faithful!

Maybe you could wonder about changing your own views by thinking about these few things:

Improve the status of women, challenging stigmas and changing attitudes, addressing men's roles in prevention.

cheers :)

I can’t agree more with some of the good points you have brought about to argue your case. These transformations that you’ve mentioned are big steps that can’t be done quickly by a wave of a magic wand. We have to think big but start small. Thus, it all comes down to an individual for him/her to make sound decisions. No one can force things to come upon someone. You can make things happen or you may not. The power of choice is in your own hands. If you abuse that, then you are liable to suffer the consequences of your own careless actions. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. That’s the bottom line.

Peace out!
