If you want one word to sum this story it, it has to be sweet. It's a lovely story, with a bit of drama mixing in nicely with the romance.

It was quite nice just having the three characters as the main focal point in the story. Although Xander's short appearance was welcome.

The only bad thing I would have to say is the author always refered to Tara as 'the blonde' or something similar which got on my nerves after awhile. Was it just me, but did Tara only have blonde hightlights for awhile in the show which grew out? And also Willow as 'The Hacker' also got a little tired.

But it was really nicly set out on the webpage, which makes good reading. I can't stand story's which are set on hard to read backgrounds and a difficult font. I like the way the title was explained at the end as well.

A very lovely story that was well paced, I give it a 95.

Can I just thank Oz and Kat for a really great session.

I loved all of it, and I can't wait for the next session to start! I'll be there for sure.

Thanks again!

I'm actually here! Sorry I've dropped the ball so badly this session.. I've been going a bit crazy this term. It's strange being back in school after such a long break (a yaer and a half) and it took me a while to get back in the swing of things and re-learn everything I'd forgotten since my first two years of university and so I've been way, way behind all term.

Hmm.. I'm afraid that I really didn't think much of this
one.

The overuse of epithets (the blonde, the hacker, the read-head, etc) drove me bonkers as well.

I didn't find any of the characters to be in character. Xander was the worst. Willow finds herself in danger all the time. Of course Xander is going to worry about her, but on the show he's grown used to it and takes it in stride. He doesn't freak out after the fact as he did here.

The story lacked cohesion. The pacing was very strange, and the events didn't seem to flow together. A lot of it had me going "okay.. what was the point of that bit?" There's all sorts of little things that don't make any sense and remain unexplained. Like why in the world does Buffy try to hide the fact that her information came from Cordy? In the show, Cordy and Willow seem to be the only two characters who keep in any sort of contact (though they rarely talk), so why would Buffy think Willow would object to her talking to Cordy? And what was the point of mentioning the Ats gang at all? It serves no purpose that I can see.

Overall, it seemed to be a bit insiped. The characters were in great danger at times, but still the way the story was told there was nothing to make me catch my breath and fear for them. It was all oh, aren't isn't Willow reassuring poor scared Tara so cute.. and isn't Tara finding strength in her love and rescuing poor hurt Willow so adorable. There was no suspense.. so zing.

I love W/T.. it's the only ship I've ever really cared about in BtVS though I've enjoyed several others. In the show they had passion and deapth that I just can't see here.

Also, I really don't get the erasing Willow and Tara's history and having them meet in season six. There's no explanation of what happened in the proceeding years without Tara. Willow in this story is a pretty pitiful witch compared to the Willow we know these days.. so how in teh world did they defeat Glory in season five without her? Also, why is Willow still alone and pining after Oz? It's been two years since he left..

Overall I wasn't impressed with the treatment/portrayal of my two favorite characters. I give this one a 70.

[> Ok here we go.... -- Chani, 10:52:55 11/26/02 Tue (curie.noos.net/212.198.0.93)

First i found this story easy to read (a big plus after the previous one!), and the W/T ship very refreshing. Tara was touching, and i liked to get Willow's point of view when she realized her attraction for Tara. After all we didn't really know how she's dealt with her new found homosexuality. It was very interesting to be inside her mind.

However i found the constant use of substantives very very annoying! This lack of style, or rather this "heaviness" is a big "flat" for me. I like the fanfics well written and there, i was pretty disappointed. Besides, it was weird to have season 4 Willow in an alternate season 7, after Buffy's resurrection. I totally agree with Persephone about that incoherence in Willow's journey. How did she become such a powerful witch, able to bring back Buffy from death? Something is missing there.

And as for missing parts....Where was Spike? Buffy just mentions him once as someone possibly helpful, but i think it is odd we never hear from him in this story (i know it is a W/T fanfic!!!!)....

I'm sorry but i can go higher than 75

I was really looking forward to reading this fiction as W/T is one of my favorite Buffy 'ships. I was greatly disappointed though while reading this. I too found the constant use of "the redhead", "the timid witch", "the hacker", "the wicca", etc. to be vastly annoying. And the characters were completely off, IMO, with the exception of maybe Tara. Where was the strong Willow we all know and love? And Xander? Don't get me started on that. It seems that everyone has a different view of his character and it's never true to the show. The budding romance between Tara and Willow is cute, but that was about the only enjoyable part of the story. I give this a 75.

And change my mark. I have re-read it, and decided to give it a lower mark.

I'm going to go with a 75. I know that's a drop of 20 marks, but I read it more closly, and I didn't really enjoy it. What was the point of it? It would be a nice story to have them meet in a totally different way, but to have it almost the same, but with her family, I don't get it.

Thanks.

Again, I find myself having a little trouble figuring out where to start. I think I’ll go with my pickiest thing. Characterization. It was good. Granted I didn’t see as much of some characters as I’d like top have, I enjoyed what there was. Tara was well done considering the situation she was put in from the beginning. It’s hard to see how a person would react if under circumstances not explored on the show and I think Tara was right on.

Willow was a bit stronger in some respects, but I liked it. Her outlook and perspective on magics was a little sweeter than we see her in the series at this point was my only real complaint.

Buffy was barely there, but what she did was in character. Strong, the slayer. I don’t remember he being a morning person though.

I’d also like to commend two points I noticed halfway through. The moment Tara finds out Buffy is The Slayer; Chosen One was well done. I would have liked to see it on the series. Not that Tara would automatically know what the slayer was… but you know? It was sort of eased into on the show and I never liked that.

Second point I’d like to commend is a witchy story-line. We get very few purely witchy story-lines unless someone’s eyes are going black. I like that witches were the innocents in need of protection.

Ok, back to review

So then we have BB problems, and all the sudden Tara is super wicca. Cool… but how? Willow. Of course. This is reading like a very sweet love story, which I like.

The story was simple, but sweet. Well done and a fun read.

I can seet he problems of the story. It is a first effort, some wandering and yes repeditive word usage, but I liked it despite them. 90
