Gwenneth smiled at Monet, enjoying the freedom of movement her natural body provided. ::I'm afraid it will take awhile for the boy to learn appreciation for life in the wild,:: she admitted. ::He has lived a very sheltered life till now-- when it rained, there was always a roof to stay beneath. When it was cold, he had a warm bed. Not so, now, though, and he might not be graceful about the change.::
She was silent for a moment, closing her eyes and feeling with delight the warming sunlight and gentle breeze. A lovely morning. Hesitantly, she breeched a subject she had long been pondering.
::I was hoping to eventually approach the boy in human form,:: she told Monet, casual tone belying the portent of the words. ::I would communicate with him clearly for once in our lives. I have not attempted it before, having no plausible circumstances...and, of course, understanding the threat. With communication comes the danger of saying too much. It's just...:: She sighed, careful not to look at the tiger, whose golden fur was shimmering with iridescence in the dappled sunlight.. ::I want to speak to him, Monet. This is something that perhaps even you take for granted. I know that I could not reveal my true nature, but... I would, Monet, meet his eyes and hear him address me as an equal, as what I am-- not as a pet.::

Angie shrugged. "If you guys have got a problem with dirt, then I guess that's an okay plan." She flitted through the trees, heading for the sound of rushing water.
"D'you believe her?" Jeff asked Alexis suddenly, when they were left alone. "About the dragons, I mean." He shrugged and shuffled his feet as they walked forward. "The way she described it...it sounded so real. It was kind of like the stories, but when she talked about it, there was depth. It's the first thing I've seen her actually care about. ...Then again, she could just as easily be making it all up, I guess." He shrugged, chuckling at his own gullibility.
