Alexis nodded seriously. "Oh, I believe her alright. There are dragons in this world to be sure. My Da told me so. I don't know if Angie has seen them up close or not, but I don't doubt her for one second that she HAS seen them."

The beautiful pale haired girl walked along in silence for a while before she turned and looked to Jeff. "Know what else? My mother... She had a chance to explore a bit of the world before she married my Da, and she once told me that there are herds of unicorn as well. But that very few people ever get close to one."

She smiled and danced in a quick circle. "There are lots of things for us to find out here. I am glad that we are free from the walled city! I want adventure!! And..."

She ran after Angie squealing in delight. "And I want excitement!!" She tackled the other girl and giggled helplessly as she tickled slender ribs. "And I am glad that I have the two of you to share it with!!"
