The clan leader and his cheysula fed both Michael and Evan. The conversation had been light but the leader knew of Michael's ever growing need. And so, after the meal was finished and cleared away the clan leader rose. "Come with me Michael. For you I shall forgo the ritual of going before clan council. I shall be your shu'maii, if you will except me."
Quietly, so noone but Evan could hear, the great hawk spoke to the golden eagle. ::Shu'maii is old tongue, if your boy does not know. My lir offers to bestow the gold on your lir and except him into our family.::
