Mental illness is very similar to physical illness, people get better, it's not permanent and it doesn't make those who suffer incompetent. But ya know what, screw the facts, why couldn't you just be supportive of someone in need of a little encouragement. Get off your freakin high horse and say hey, I'm routin' for ya Chel. Don't be such an ass. You have no idea what a spousal or parental role is like first hand, you don't tell people--oh too bad, you're gonna lose your kids. Think about how supportive these people are when you complain about your problems, and I'm betting there aren't nearly as life altering as this. They overlook your ignorant manners and just smile and wink, but you obviously have some need for attention and being a jackass is your way of getting it. Sorry for changing the topic Chel. I've been studying family counseling for over two years, I could send you some helpful web links if you'd like, some support groups sites for depression and anxiety as well.
