Reply My Cousin's Funeral

My cousin's funeral was Friday morning, at 11:00 am, and at the request of his family, I officiated and preached his funeral. My cousin Brad, was a very well liked man, and very popular in local auto racing circles. His funeral service had a large turnout. In fact, it was "standing room only" at the church, which was in itself a great tribute to my cousin.

My cousin died Saturday, November 9th from a beating he received from an individual who owed him $40.00 dollars. This individual continued to kick and beat my cousin even after he had been knocked unconscious. My cousin did not go to his home to fight. He had his right arm in a cast since it was broken, so it is obvious he had no intention of fighting. Also, my cousin was small in stature and very thin. His only desire was to collect the money that was rightly owed him so he could get his truck, which had broken down off the road. Out of the kindness of his heart, he loaned this person $40.00 dollars, and this is how he was repaid. An act of kindness was repaid with an act of violence that resulted in his death. To date, the individual has not been charged with this crime, and I find this to be an outrage!

Be outraged Jack? Fur sure! However Jack, nothing you said above equates to one having the blessed assurance of an eternity in heaven. There would or should be great comfort knowing this man was a Born Again, Saved the Bible Way Believer in Y'shua, and NOT "saved" by some imaginary teachings of harry tics.

Don't fall into the same moral dumpster as GellyB at R1 concerning Amanda and her defiler. I would be more impressed with GellyB when he can get over his anger and preach the Gospel to this man. Consider Jack, preaching the Gospel of Y'shua to this man.

It should not be a mystery to see these things happen in todays world. The ultimate judge is the Lord Himself. The death penalty was established by G_d as punishment for crimes of murder. However, G_d also gave Cities of Refuge for those commiting crimes not presumptous. I have no trouble with a rightous government administering the death penalty to murderers, baby rapers, child molesters, etc. That is the inherent right of the family to cast the first stone. However Jack, are YOU worthy of casting the first stone?
