From the Pacadorian Dorito hidin' out at PP:

"It's been a long day and I have jury duty at 9 in the a.m. At least I am in the preliminary pool of 30. Wonder what questions they'll ask us? One thing I know--I'm one of a very few who was really glad to be there today. Most people think it's cool to try to get out of it. I really want to see the judicial system up close. That is almost a guarantee I won't be picked. *-)"

I doubt she knows about Jury Nullification/Fully Informed Jury considerations. It is important to know that the judge will NOT inform you of this. It is up to you to know the law. You are not compelled to give information of your knowledge of Fully Informed Jury statutes.

This is one of the reasons the Supreme Court overturned many court dicisions concerning Death Penality cases where the judge alone sentenced a criminal. You, as a juror, have the right to interpret not only the law, but make a judgment as to whether it is being applied fairly.

That is the constitutional mandate for a trial by jury.
