DORITOS:�� It seems to depend a lot on the speaker. Some people can talk about God's plan for us without alienating them. A non-believer is not going to come to Christ through chastisement and admonishment. He is gonna run the other way. Jesus WAS all goodness. He lived a very simple life and reached out more to the non-believer than to the believers because he knew the believers would always be there and the non-believers were the ones who needed to hear the word. There are many stories of him hanging out with the downtrodden and the sinners. By his ministering to them, he got followers of God. His disciples were quite shocked when he talked to the woman at the well. So was she! Was he there yelling at her to get right with God? No, he simply told her to go to the town and tell no one what transpired. She couldn't keep from telling the people about her newfound faith. He didn't judge her.
Bible-only believers get caught up in telling of a vengeful, angry God, trying to scare people into getting right with God.�

Dori demonstrates her motivation and lack of understanding of the scripture she cited. In John 8: 3-6. Scribes and Pharisees, like doris � were foiled in their yesterday's attempt, and hoping to succeed better in the incident of the woman at the well. The law of Moses commanded that she be put to death. (Deuteronomy 22:22), But in aggravated cases, at least in later times, this was probably by stoning (Ezekiel 16:40).

If He said, Stone her, that would seem a stepping out of His province; if He forbade it, that would hold Him up as a relaxer of the public morals. But these cunning hypocrites were overmatched.

John 8:6

�This they said, tempting him��

Much as the same motivation as dori.
For they brought this woman, and exposed her in this manner, not because of their abhorrence and detestation of the sin; nor did they put the above question to Christ, out of their great respect to the law of Moses; the REASON was��

�that they might have to accuse him;�

That is the same reason dori introduced the passage!

As a means of avoiding the trap of the Scribes and Pharisees, the unregenerate dori types who were acting out of revenge with un clean hearts who were trying to do EVIL�.

�but Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground;��

Some think Jesus wrote in legible characters the sins of the woman's accusers. This is interesting because it would mean that Jesus was writing down dori�s motivation for her accusations of us, AND all her sins for ALL TO SEE!� Wouldn�t SHE be in for a surprise if she ever took passages in their correct CONTEXT!

Jeremiah 17:13 , "they that depart from me shall be written in the earth". It could also be that Christ was writing their names in the earth, thus fulfulling this prophecy in Jeremiah. They knew the Old Testament and this passage, and were convicted in their hearts.

dori is just flinging passages around which she is wont to do, with out the FULL COUNCIL of the Word, in complete ignorance of the fact that the passage she has selected CONVICT HER! The old saying about when you point a finger at others, five are pointing back at you.

John 8:8
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground��

]As before, Jesus, having said enough to confound them; He was unwilling to pursue the matter any further, He gave them an opportunity of withdrawing themselves without any further notice of his. dori is never so gracious and she doesn�t get it. She is never�..�being convicted by their own conscience;�..�

Christ did not come into the world as a civil magistrate, and therefore refused to arbitrate a case since it was only for the purpose to FALSELY ACCUSE & SNARE JESUS.

The reason he did not accuse the woman, was so that the Scribes and Pharisees like dori would have no reason to object to this conduct of Christ, as if He acted contrary to the law, in (Deuteronomy 13:5) .

Deuteronomy 13:5 �The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you.�

Notice dori, He pronounces no pardon upon the woman (such as, "Thy sins are forgiven thee" [compare Luke 5:28, 7:48]--"Go in peace" [compare 5:34, Luke 7:50, 8:48]), much less does He say that she had done nothing condemnable.

He simply leaves the matter where it was. That way he foiled the Scribes and Pharisee�s attempts to convict Him. He �meddles not with the magistrate's office�, nor acts the Judge in any sense (John 12:47). But in saying, "Go and sin no more," which had been before said to one who undoubtedly believed (John 5:14), more is probably implied than expressed. It was a demonstration of the TRUE meaning of Christ�s GRACE, not a romish sacrament meted out in cookie wafers.
