I remember an interesting series of programs I viewed on TBN some years ago concerning the Dakes Study Bible. It was on the Ever Increasing Faith/Dr. K.C. Price program on Friday evenings on TBN.
Price, for those who are unaware, is a black pastor in the Crenshaw District of Los Angles. It is mostly a "black" church, though more "whites" have started to attend. Price, along with his wife Betty, co-pastor the church. (Tamarisk notes--always be aware and wary of a church that has Mr. and Mrs. "Pastors." It is an indication they are, at the very least, weak or failing in contextual truth in sound, pure Biblical doctrines.) They are of the "Name It, And Claim It" crowd of Charismania.
Price's daughter is president of the "Corporation." A 501 c 3 corporation under the IRS tax code. They are in bed with the IRS and the goobermint, who believes the G_d's ordained Church of Y'shua should be taxed. They have paid (just like "Rev Car Jack, the Up Lifting"), their $500.00 fee for the "right" to become "tax exempt." This fee, of course, is paid to its real god, the IRS/the Goobermint, for the "right" to purchase anything of necessity for the church. The "idea" running rampant in churches today, is they need the goobermint's help, through the IRS code, to exist. It is a pact from hell itself!
Having been trained in an Unregistered, True New Testament Church, which happens to be Baptist, my passions run deep on this subject. I have seen friends of mine, such as Dr. Greg Dixon, being hauled off on stretchers, on the order of some apostate judge under the GWB "administration." There are others currently in prison, who are friends of mine, for their witness for Y'shua.
I'm not sure exactly where we are in G_d's prophetic time table, but, we are certainly further along than most people realize.
Reading at R1, and other places, leaves me believing the posters there are of the Laodecian church spoken of in Revelation 3. They are, at the very least, disfunctional," being neither hot nor cold.
They are lost in their spiritual and moral relativism. Mags posted a comment concerning Rush and Conservatism. Mags understands neither. If she did, she would understand Rush, at best, is a Neo-Conservative. Rush also has many "fag, pedophile" contributors to his program. He is bought and paid for by these types of people.
